My Setup home and away.

My Setup home and away.

Apart of being a consultant is to Travel and one of the most annoying issues i have when traveling is a lack of a second monitor. Using the IPAD Pro 12.9 inch and a 10EUR app called Duet i now have a portable Monitor for on the go.

Now alot of you are thinking "yeah but wifi connected monitors are slow and never work" indeed that is correct but i can assure you that duet uses usb3.0 or 2.0 to connect to your apple or windows computer ensureing a fast experience.

Touch and keyboard from the IPAD are passed though to the Mac Book giving you a tablet like interface for on the go.

The major plus is that both screens can work at retina resolution allowing me to code on the go.

Away:

My Home setup consists of a slightly different approuch i use in iMac 21.5 inch with a VESA mount and two 22 inch Monitors from LG for coding, work or document editing at home. This setup allows me to keep a clean desk and minimalistic setup.
